We discovered Williams & Bailey
about four or five years ago when we lived in Williamsburg. We moved there from Phoenix in 2011, and we happened upon W&B on one of our favorite holidays, St. Patty's Day. 😋 🍀 It was close to where our apartment was, so we were very excited to find a cool bar nearby. We decided to go back for lunch and try their food.
Our expectations were pretty low because on St. Patty's day the place was empty, and again for lunch, we were maybe 2 of 5 people inside. We certainly wouldn't expect this would be one of our favorite places to eat and drink in Brooklyn, but it quickly became one of our go-to spots. If you're into sports, they have you covered on game-day with a few tv's and even a projector screen in the back.
We recommend trying their brunch menu on the weekends with bottomless mimosas or bloody mary's for $15. Every single food item we have ever tried from W&B is absolutely delicious and we would recommend it all! My favorite is the breakfast burger, which is a regular burger with bacon and a fried egg. Although their fries are tasty (a nice crunchy fry with a soft inside), I usually get their delectable salad on the side.
They don't open until noon, so if you're early birds like us, you may want to make a small breakfast before going to brunch. But the wait is worth it. Hopefully they pick up in business because it is a neighborhood staple, but hopefully it doesn't get too busy so we can still get a seat there whenever we want to drop in!
